Concrete Plans

1 Chronicles 28:11-12 – “Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of… all that he had by the Spirit, for the courts of the house of the Lord…”,

In the transition of leadership from David to Solomon, David gave his plans for the temple of God to Solomon.  David had not been allowed to build the temple, but it didn’t stop him dreaming, praying and preparing for it!

It’s interesting that the plans that the Spirit of God had given to David were for solid, immovable objects.  There are some who think that God never builds anything concrete – that the Spirit only leads us to wispy, ethereal things.  But it was the very Spirit of God who moved on David’s heart to have this temple built.  The plans he made were triggered by the same Spirit!

What’s good for us is that this shows us that God has concrete plans for our lives – for the things we are to do – and that the Spirit of God will lead us into these things!

God is not vague – He is certain and knows what the future holds for each one of us.  Let God breathe on you today, and give you some solid assurances for your future with Him!
